Equine Art Class
M Lazy C Ranch
Lake George, Colorado
Tuesday, June 28, 2022
3-6pm
In this class, you will explore charcoal drawing and ink painting techniques. No previous experience required. We will practice drawing realistic forms from real life models - our horses - and the nature that surrounds them. You will explore and develop your own realistic style and leave with beautiful portraits of your horse that you can be proud of. In the wise words of the great Bob Ross, “There's an artist hidden at the bottom of every single one of us.”
About the Instructor
Anna Kress graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Fine Arts and a concentration on Arts Education. She is currently a high school art teacher in Denver, where she teaches drawing and painting, art craft, and media art classes. As an educator, her greatest goal is to amplify her student’s voice and personal expression through the skillful use of various materials and techniques. She also owns a small photography business on the side, and has traveled the country producing a collection of wildlife and landscape prints, and her photos have been in several galleries and publications. Locally, she photographs clients in the Denver area, focusing on engagement shoots, equine portraiture, and family photography. In addition to her various artistic pursuits, she is an avid horsewoman and owns two Arabians - Winona and Chenoa - with whom she foxhunts and trail rides. We are thrilled to have Anna on the Equescapes instructor team!
