This clinic is offered by Chiara and Zak of Insight Equine, whose mission is to explore the infinite possibilities of harmony between horse and rider while maintaining equine welfare in all areas.  Every behavior has an explanation and the job as the trainer/instructor is to help horses and riders connect by being comfortable in their bodies, at peace in their minds, and able to communicate in a language of mutual respect, trust, and understanding.

 Chiara Poscente

Chiara has decades of experience coaching riders in classical equitation and horsemanship. She is passionate about teaching and focuses on horse and rider biomechanics and building the horse/human partnership.

 Zak Maytum

Zak is passionate about quality in horsemanship. He specializes in foundational training to give young horses the best chance at success in their future careers and helping troubled horses find renewed value in being with humans.

Foundational Horsemanship: Introduction to Groundwork with Zak Maytum
9:00-11:00am

Participants will require a halter (preferably a rope halter) and a 12-14 foot lead rope. Flag/stick and string/whip optional. 

Practical Horsemanship: Obstacles and Problem Solving with Chiara Poscente
12:00-2:00pm

Participants should arrive fully tacked and ready to mount! 

Join the Class

$70 per rider per session or $130 per rider for both sessions
$25 haul-in fee for riders not staying overnight

Riders are also welcome to join a short afternoon trail ride from 3:00-5:00pm.
